About
B. Lawson Hull - career imagineer

I've always been a storyteller, blessed (or cursed) with a highly demanding imagination as far back as I can remember. I love history, and how the altered context of the supernatural can be used to help us peer within the human condition. Some of my favorite authors are Jane Austen, Anthony Trollope, and J.R.R. Tolkien, and for period TV you can't go wrong with Julian Fellowes or Sally Wainwright. When it comes to science fiction the authors I fell in love with include Arthur Clarke, Ray Bradbury, and Edgar Rice Burroughs. For sci-fi TV/movies I would say The Expanse, Fallout, the original Matrix, and Edge of Tomorrow are all-time favorites.

In my free time I'm either dreaming about Saunmoor or working on it. When I can pry myself away I enjoy the island lifestyle here on Nantucket. I'm a foodie, and a sucker for quaint historical buildings, period movies and historical fiction. I play frisbee golf, shoot pool (not well), take long walks, particularly at night, and sing loudly in our community chorus. I love dogs, the beautiful Atheneum library, the ocean views, and jotting down humorous anecdotes, in case that standup comedian thing I started back in Austin, before Nantucket, ever takes off again.
