Our first subject is the mysterious bust in the Morley family home of Hastelbrook, remounted from the broken segment of a much larger statue. Its history and origin are shrouded in mystery, and despite its eerie and ominous appearance, Emelyn has always found its presence in the house to be strangely comforting. Often has she wondered who might have shaped it, so long ago, and to what purpose.
